#1 Koontz book ever written.

I have read all of Dean Koontz's books and this one is by far his best accomplishment. The characters are well-developed and readily accepted by the reader. This book will demand your attention from page one until the end. You will feel the fear, wonder and excitement that the main characters feel as if you were one yourself. The images of all of the scenes will be graphic in your mind. This book creates a feeling of promise for the future while at the same time scare you for what may be to come. You will learn that technology and science is like Russian Roulette. You will never know the outcome of the undertaking until it is complete and it may not turn out as you had planned. Sometimes better than you could ever have dreamed and sometimes, more horrific than your worst nightmare.
