You Don't Have to be an Einstein to Enjoy Watchers

Date of Review:  Jul 7, 2007
The Bottom Line: Watchers is what every action/thriller book should be.
Review: Why write the 36th review of a book? Because it's worth it.

Dean Koontz writes another book full of possibilities that are not beyond the capabilities of mankind. Genetic splicing and the secrets that government agencies keep, even from...

Watchers: The Book That Proves Koontz Needs Watching

Date of Review:  Aug 21, 2003
The Bottom Line: One of Koontz's best efforts, if not the best and one of the best stories I've ever read.
Review: Watchers is one of those rare books that inspires either love or hate. I have yet to find anyone who feel neutral on it. Dean Koontz has created a novel and characters who are so memorable that most people have some strong feelings involved.

"I Would Die of Lonely."

Date of Review:  Mar 12, 2006
The Bottom Line: Watchers is a mildly enjoyable read, but nothing to seek when looking for something to indulge into.
Review: Warning: Some Spoilers Ahead

In today's era of popular fiction, a few names spring to mind when thinking of the consistent bestseller list; Stephen King, John Grisham, Anne Rice, JK Rowling, Michael Crichton.. Another one of these authors,...

A Little Too Cute for Koontz

Date of Review:  Apr 4, 2008
The Bottom Line: I like darker stories and those that don't strain my suspension of disbelief. This one is a little too cutsey and "out there."
Review: "Watchers" is a readable novel, but that's about the best I can say of it. Perhaps I should start off by saying that my favorite Koontz book is "Twilight Eyes" so you can get a handle on my taste. That book was depressing from start to finish, with...

#1 Koontz book ever written.

Date of Review:  May 30, 2003
The Bottom Line: If you have never read a Koontz book, read this one first. You will be hooked!
Review: I have read all of Dean Koontz's books and this one is by far his best accomplishment. The characters are well-developed and readily accepted by the reader. This book will demand your attention from page one until the end. You will feel the fear,...

A New Level Of Thriller

Date of Review:  Jul 26, 2005
Review: Koontz outdoes himself with "Watchers". A story about a genetically manipulated, super-intelligent golden retriever and a mutated monster, both of whom escape from a lab in the east. The main character, Travis, finds said dog and discovers that the...

Great Book!

Date of Review:  Mar 20, 2003
The Bottom Line: I recommend this book to Koontz fans because it has a great pace and keeps you interested!
Review: Absolutely fabulous! This book is 480 pages, but it is able to keep your interest until the very end. The book is about a lonely, depressed man who finds a dog in the woods, but the dog has a big problem. A very big problem! I am, however, not going...

Don't Watch the back cover

Date of Review:  Aug 18, 2003
The Bottom Line: It would have been great if it wasn't for those blunt characters and If the story would've been executed right.
Review: You know when I saw the back cover I was excited. It said something about 2 monsters escaping from a secret military lab and some people were in pursuit of them. But what it didn't mention was that it one of those "monsters" was a dog. Yes a dog. It...

My first Koontz

Date of Review:  Jun 12, 2004
Review: As the title of this review implies, this is the first book written by this talented author that I chanced to pick up and read. To say that I was spell bound and enjoyed it immensely would be a little bit of an understatement. From the moment I...

Will read again and again

Date of Review:  Feb 26, 2006
Review: Update March 6th: My original review was rubbish and not at all informative, so I am going to give it another go.

Travis is a street smart guy who is pretty much 'done' with people after suffering enough personal drama in his life. He...
