Waring Pro Waffle Maker WMK300

We are a family of 6. I cannot begin to count how many waffle makers I have bought, and discarded because they can't make a decent waffle in an acceptable amount of time. The final straw was when I took my kids to the diner, and belgium waffles with berries and cream turned out to be a $50 event. I did an internet search and this machine caught my eye. I called literally a dozen stores and there was none available in stock. This became an obsession, with my 6 year old hanging over me waiting for the find! Well, I finally found it 45 minutes from my home. I put it on hold and drove to get it. I even used a 20% coupon! Stopped at the grocery store and picked up all the ingredients. The kids could not wait. We made the batter (only drawback is that you need to let it rise for 1 hour). Finally, the first waffle went in. Anticipation... and 2 minutes later, 4 children were mauling eachother for a taste of the first waffle. They were ablsolutely diner quality perfect. One after another, each about 2 minutes apart. I made 10 waffles. None were left.

The design is just like the pro model. After it warms up, you pour in the batter (measured perfectly in the included cup) and close the lid. You then rotate the unit 180 degrees so that the waffle cooks upside down. This ensures a crispy crust with a light and airy center. Clean-up is easy. You can just wipe away any crumbs left over with a soft pastry brush or a sponge. The drip tray is dishwasher safe, although I did not experience any spillage. The cord wraps underneath for storage. Be careful not to touch any metal parts until well after cooling. They get very hot during use. It is larger than most units available for home use, so make sure you have a place to store it, as it takes up much counter space.

In short, I highly recommend this unit for purchase. You will not be disappointed.
