Wahl 8355 Hair Trimmer

I used to go to the barber to get my haircuts. I used to get the same haircut for years. #2 blade around the sides, and finger length on top. Then one day in the July of 2000, I got the inspiration to shave my head. Using an electric shaver (not a Wahl), I shaved my own head completely. I continued this program for about a month, but grew tired of it in August, so I let my hair grow back. By the time it was early October, I needed to get a haircut. I thought about what I wanted to do. I figured that I would just cut my hair at an even length everywhere.

I went to Sav-On, and looked around for a rather affordable clipper, but one of high quality. After doing a bit of homework, I figured this was the best one for the price (and my purposes) so I bought it. In fact, while I was waiting in line to purchase it, the person behind me saw what I was buying and gave an endorsement too. He said he's tried all different kinds of shavers and that specific Wahl that I was buying was the one he would recommend too. Very good for its price. So at that point I felt confident of my purchase.

Basically, I attach a #5 blade (the blades are numbered) and just shave my hair evenly everywhere. It's very simple to operate. I guess if I had to complain about one thing, it's that it's a bit heavy. I mean, your arm gets a little tired of using it for long periods of time, and I use it for a long period of time because my hair is the same length everywhere.

I do not use this shaver to trim the hairs around my neck however. What I do is pay $5 and have this done at a barber shop for me, so I cannot comment on that aspect, but I have no reason to believe it doesn't work effectively there. Overall, I would recommend it. I was a complete amateur to using these clippers, and it was easy to figure out and everything went smoothly the first time around.
