I have two teenage sons, who were blessed with very curly hair. Of course to them it is a curse to have curly hair and having it myself I understand that they wish their hair was straight. Because of their hair being very curly and hard to manage they both wear their hair extremely short; Marine Corp cut is what I call it. We were spending about 14 dollars every month to get them both a hair cut at the local barbershop. My husband decided that he could cut their hair himself. The clips are extremely easy to put on the blade and to take off. Each of the clips will cut your hair a different length and you have to do is decide what length you want your hair to be. Since both of my boys were theirs extremely short my husband had no problems deciding which clip to use. Once you decide which clip to use all you have to do is start clipping. You will need to go over the area more than once to be sure all the hair is cut to the same length. My husband then pulls the clip off and trims around the boy’s ears and neck. My husband has been cutting our boys hair for about 2 years now. So far my sons have had no complaints at all with their dad being their barber. As a matter of fact my husband has become well known in our neighborhood for cutting our sons hair and now finds himself cutting their friends hair.

The Wahl Pro Basic comes with the 4 clips for cutting and a very long cord that plugs into your 110 Volt plug in. The clippers on off switch is located on the side for easy use while cutting hair. This set also has a fine adjustment switch which will allow you to take off small amounts of hair like over and around the ears and on the back of the neck. This set also comes with everything you need to maintain your clippers with. Our set came with a small little brush to brush off any excess hair after using the clippers. After you have all the hair off of the blade you then use a small drop of oil that is also included on the blade before storing away until the next use.

I know that our clippers came with a 1-year warranty, but we have had them now for 2 years and they are still just as good as the first time we used them. These clippers have saved us quite a bit of money over the last 2 years. The $25.00 we paid for them with haircuts costing us $14.00 a month we actually paid for the clippers in just 2 months by doing hair cuts ourselves. My husband now trims my neckline and has even used these clippers to cut his hair and mustache. I believe that for my house the Wahl Pro Basic clippers was one of the best investments we ever made.
