THQ....your not cooking

Date of Review: Oct 12, 2000

I bought this game to play matches such as king off the ring, hardcore, iron man, first blood or EVEN BLOOD. But all i found was royal rumble and exhibition. I read reviews such as hyper and game pro saying it was all right and fun with the 8 wrestlers on screen at once, and yeah it is fun.

One of the REALISTIC things about the game is the ref, yes there is a ref in the matches and you DO see him count the 1...2...3 and yes you can hit him(only with a weapon). Another good thing about the game is the run ins, well i think that, anyway in stead of only one person running in to the ring (run-in) about 2 or 3 run in and there usually like D-X or rock and sock or the new age outlaws. Another thing about the game is that after a while everything goes black and the wrestlers look around and you turn up some where like the parking lot or kitchen, OR the ring will turn in to a cage match(rare) so theres no more run-ins. Also when you pick your player for an exhibition match you have to choose a partner so that when you hold two buttons your wrestler will signal and your partner will do something like a close line or throw you a weapon.

Now on to the controls, i thought the controls where ok but i don?t really use the grab button because you can really build up your special doing hits and kicks. I also think the special moves are ok, they are done with a shadow following the superstars. ALL UP its an ok game could have done with more modes.
