Finally, a sleek cordless phone

This Vtech phone is great. I have the phone with the base/answerer and an additional phone.

Very sleek design, well made, solid feel. The user interface is clear, easy to use and navigate, and quick to get around. Sound quality and reception is also very strong, although I haven't had a phone with bad reception in quite some time. It looks GOOD. The answerer is integrated with caller ID on the handset, so you can browse the call log, see who left a message, and play it from the handset - my old phone could come anywhere near that.

The BAD's? The integration with Outlook is a joke. Really it is integration with any comma delimited file of names and phone numbers. If you use more than one phone number field in Outlook for your contacts (like Home, Mobile, and Business), then the integration isn't worth the effort at all. The Vtech phone book only allows a single phone number per name.

BUT... It does come with a decent application that you can use to build your phone list on your computer and then upload it via USB to each of your phones (they don't sync with each other). Although it isn't the silver bullet of Outlook integration, it is a huge improvement over trying to key all of your contacts into the phone directly. [OK, so why can't cordless phone manufacturers build a phone book with multiple numbers per name, like cell phones have had for years!].
