AT&T E2562 Horrible Answering System!

I purchased this phone at Bestbuy. It is attractive and sturdy. Sound quality is good. The problem is the answering system. At least half of the incoming messages get cut off in mid message. The system says to the caller "incorrect code, please enter again" and cuts the caller off. It happens on both mailboxes, sometimes after a minute and a half and sometimes after five seconds and anywhere in between. AT&T was kind enough to send a replacement of the same model and guess what? The replacement phone has the same exact problem. They are now sending me model 2462 as a replacement. I'm hoping this one will fare better. Needless to say this is extremely frustrating as I use one of the lines for business.

Additionally, you can't input your area code in the caller ID and as a result if you want to speed dial a number from your caller ID you have to edit the number manually, which takes more time than actually dialing the number!
