Few problems

by   loxalot ,  May 6, 2006
Pros: Last 5 number redial; memory; speakerphones
Cons: Caller ID History; numbers wearing off
The Bottom Line: If you need a 2-Line phone, get this one but put some clear fingernail polish on the keypads first. This one's better than the last one I had.
Review: I found this phone at Staples after searching for months. I needed one with a corded handset at the base as well as speakerphone. I also needed a 2 line phone to help me in my business. This one served my needs. Can't find a decent headset to use ...

Answering Machine Fix from AT&T

by   robnalex ,  Apr 27, 2005
Pros: Corded headset jack, large CID displays, CID displays on base or handset while playing messages.
Cons: Answering machine problem (above-fixed!), phone books for base and handset cannot be exported.
Review: AT&T has provided a fix for the problem with the answering machine problem of prompting callers for a code and stopping message recording: > Have handset(s) linked to the base unit (registered). > On the base unit, press and release the ...

Mixed bag on this system

by   gr8ttime ,  Aug 12, 2005
Pros: Style and range
Cons: Won't work with earpieces.
Review: Basically haven't had any of the answering machine issues previously reported (bought this phone in June 05), BUT...none of the handsets will work properly with ear pieces. You can jiggle the connector until it works, but as soon as you move, the ...

Not what I expected - Part 2

by   edilorenzo ,  Oct 3, 2005
Pros: Attractive
Cons: Hard to use
Review: When the power is lost the phone remembers the phonebook but apparently not the date or time of day. So all subsequent messages left on the machine will have the wrong time of day. I set the phone down on a desk standing up, after it fell over, the ...

Piece of JUNK!!!

by   misideas ,  Jan 7, 2006
Pros: It doesn't cost $600.00
Cons: IT DOESN'T WORK!
The Bottom Line: Don't buy it -- it is junk!
Review: Only buy this phone if you enjoy having your calls cut off with the "incorrect code, please enter remote access code" message we've read about in the other reviews. This is the second one I have had. I use this phone as my only business phone and am ...

Most Horrible Phone I have Ever Had!

by   k1234567 ,  Oct 31, 2005
Pros: Can't think of any.
Cons: See above.
The Bottom Line: Do not buy AT&T. Please post a good alternative. A business cannot run this way!
Review: I had a prior AT&T 2 line phone with 2 extension sets. One of the hand sets stopped charging, so I was forced to replace the entire system. The first one asked the caller to enter the remote access code, then cut off phone messages. AT&T kept insisting ...

AT&T E2562 Horrible Answering System!

by   pins822 ,  Jan 14, 2005
Pros: Attractive, sturdy. Ability to charge a spare battery in the base is a plus.
Cons: Horrible answering system. Leave this one on the shelf.
Review: I purchased this phone at Bestbuy. It is attractive and sturdy. Sound quality is good. The problem is the answering system. At least half of the incoming messages get cut off in mid message. The system says to the caller "incorrect code, please enter ...

Strike three,your out !

by   sbavis ,  Feb 24, 2005
Pros: Wireless hand set has good range
Cons: design flaw
Review: The problem is the answering system. At least half of the incoming messages get cut off in mid message. The system says to the caller "incorrect code, please enter again" and cuts the caller off. It happens on both mailboxes, sometimes after a minute and ...

Hate this phone!

by   kobweb ,  Jan 26, 2005
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Cuts off messages, counter intuitive
Review: Counter intuitive, poorly engineered, cuts off my messages, gives the wrong date of message. It is far more complicated than it needs to be and is the worst phone I've ever had. No wonder it was on sale! Bought at Staples for $240 including 2 ...

Excellent Phone

by   bigbird01 ,  Jun 27, 2007
Pros: Clear messages, headset is a plus, handset has long battery life, clear reception outside, color
Cons: short cords, lightweight, table unit large and doesn't fit on small tables, handsets are pricey
Review: I have had this phone over a year when it first came out and it works perfect. I ordered it online at the hefty price of $200.00. I don't understand any of the problems others have had. The only problem I have is the base unit, the cord is too short and ...
