Mega mileage monster

I bought the 2005 VW Jetta TDI new in October 2004. At the time, I was looking for a car that had good gas mile age and was fun to drive. The car has alot of get up and go. I had no problems the first year, however I have had several problems with the electronics since. As soon as the warranty expired, I had to replace the dashboard. The check engine light continues to go "on" from time to time. The only other problem with the car has been with regard to the sunroof - there is a drainage system extends to the passenger side door jam and after driving in rain, the passenger side foot area becomes wet. The gas mileage has been great - I fill up with 12 gallons of diesel fuel and can normally get 600 miles per tank. The interior is comfortable with front seats that can be adjusted to fit just about anyone, especially on long trips. I continue to have it serviced by a VW dealer and the 15,000 mile visits can be expensive because of the TDI engine. Overall, the 2005 VW Jetta TDI has been a reliable money-saving fun to drive vehicle.
