Can you say "SPEEDY LITTLE BUGGER"?
Pros:
Fast little bugger, Stereo totally rocks, and the trunk is enormous
Cons:
the cup holders aren't as snug as we'd like them to be
The Bottom Line:
Great price and package. If you're just starting out and safety, craftsmanship and reliability are your main concerns, then this is the vehicle for you.

Author's Review
Mom, I definitely have you to thank for convincing me that VWs where the way to go. My husband and I have loved the whole Jetta experience and were not too excited when my parents suggested a Jetta. After searching and testing driving car after car we decided to give the little guy a shot.
The Interior:
The inside feels a lot bigger then it looks from the outside and talk about luxury. We got the winter package, which comes with the leather heated seats. OH MY GOODNESS. Talk about being snug like a bug in a rug. I love driving in traffic with it on medium. It is so relaxing and my back really appreciates it. The only cons I would have is the seat reclining process. Can you say really annoying? I have to turn this knob thats located on the side of the seats. Its extremely aggravating when you have to readjust, especially when you have two separate drivers. Most of the Jetta models are fully loaded and safety features are standard. YOU CAN'T go wrong with that. If you like your music loud, then listener... be prepared because the monsoon stereo system that all jettas come with, will blast you out of your chair. The interior all in all is comfortable, spacious and cute and you will be amazed when you see the size of the trunk. I really love my little-BIG car.
Handling:
I absolutely love how easily the Jetta deals with bumps and wind noise. The power and handling are outstanding. I also get pretty good mileage but only on the highway. I would say its about 35 MPG and in the city about 24 MPG. Not bad, especially with gas prices now. Its great because I fill her up every other week. Make sure to run over all the cracks and ruts you can find; the tight structure just brushes them off with indifference. The jetta will have you doing crazy things you only thought teenagers would do, like flying over speed bumps at 25 MPH. Be careful though cause to much of that will have you ruining your suspension. The breaks are great. You barely have to touch it and you come to a dead stop. I think thats one of the features that most shocked me, when I was driving on the highway and all of a sudden the traffic came to a dead stop. I was going about 80 miles per hour and I was certain I was going to crash but I pressed (harder then usual) on my breaks and came to a strong halt. WOW!! I was amazed and thankful that I had a well built car.
Acceleration:
Ok, so my Jetta is a 2005 2.0L and its not as fast as the Jetta Turbo or the Golf but remember, I had a Crappy 1997 Ford Taurus, that had all sorts of electrical problems and Ive seriously seen turtles and snails move faster then that car. You can say that this little Jetta seems like a Ferrari to me. Its extremely fast for its size and besides if youre anything like me and get speeding tickets every 5 months, the last thing you need is a fast car. Youre just asking for trouble. I wiz by most people on the highway and when the light turns green, little jetta blows all the other cars away.
We absolutely love this car and are saving up for another one. My husband wants the 2006 Gli turbo, so if you live in Orlando, watch out for me ok. I truly urge you to go test drive a jetta because the price is right. Hopefully you will find the style that best fit your personality. You will pleasingly be amazed. Good luck!
