The Bottom Line: Cars mainly exist to drive, to sit in, to use the backseats of, and to overheat our choking planet. The GTI's strengths are the first three. Yay!

The Bottom Line: Of the cars in this sector only the Subaru WRX will out-perform the GTI. However, when you take into account the overall package, this is the way to go.

The Bottom Line: I would definitely consider this car as a sub for BMW's 3 series coupes, any Japanese coupes, or Mercedes C class.

Surprisingly Luxurious, But Doesn't Quite Deliver What It Promises

The Bottom Line: The current Golf GTI is really more of a fast luxury coupe than a sports coupe. It's quick, but not nearly as hard-edged as its reputation suggests.
