Don't waste your money

The Bottom Line: I would avoid this camera, there are much better products out there for the money. It is not worth the hassle.

Disappointed by Vivitar 8300s

The Bottom Line: I would not recommend the Vivitar 8300s. Fatal flaws include very poor portrait pictures, short battery life, and lousy tech support. The first 8300s we had died within 6 weeks.
Review: The Vivitar 8300s has been a huge disappointment. Our Olympus 5050 takes far better pictures, even with only 5 MP. A friend's Pentax 5MP takes far better pictures, too. The first 8300s we had completely shut down after six weeks (including one two...

Fantastic Value

The Bottom Line: If you want a high performance, compact digital camera that is great value for money then this is the one.
Review: I bought this camera for my wife for Christmas from Woot after doing some comparative research suggested that this was the best deal out there for the pixels.
