Does A Great Job

Pros: >Cool Photo Editing Software(Photo Impressions 3) >Manual easy to understand
Cons: >no off button >the lamp takes a while to warm up

Not for professional use

Pros: Durable... One touch commands... compact
Cons: Software installation is a pain, Color/Contrast Quality, warm up time
Review: This scanner works well, not great, but will do for occassional use. I use our scanner for pictures that I don't have negatives to just so I can put them on cd. It does work well for that, even though the picture quality may not be completely perfect. ...

Good for occasional use.

Pros: Price - if you buy it right, I paid $40 on sale at Fry's Electronics.
Cons: Slow Scan Speed. Software - difficult to figure out. Onetouch button fails.
The Bottom Line: Skip it definitely. With so many scanners and the list price being $70 there are way better scanner's with easier to use software.
Review: I installed this to a windows 2000 SP4 PC that I built back in 2001. I bought it to replace a refurbished HP 3300CSE scanner that I bought at Staples in 2002? That scanner still works but the driver was really for win me and HP never updated it for w2k. ...
