Pros:  Good Budget Well built

Cons:  Outdated drivers bad heatsink

The Bottom Line:  Buy if you are entry level gamer or computer builder then this is your card. Its a good 128mb entry level card

Author's Review

I had a NVidia GeForce 4 MMX 440. I needed an upgrade so being a cash - strapped teen i am..i went out and looked for a card. My planned budget was going to be $100 and being disappointed with nvidia i went for ATI. Now ATI built cards were more expensive than Built on ATI Technology. I bought the VisionTek and was greeted with the pure bliss of 128mb video.

Problems
There was an issue i had with the card. Be forewarned that the heatsink is of cheap material and a consumer is better off buying a good heatsink.

Benefits
My biggest benefit was using ATitool to overclock my videocard. This is where a better heatsink comes in because the video sink is blazing hot. Now i have a mazzive gold cooling pipe with card size heatsinks on either side.

Overclocking:
I am a gamer so I need my speed. The visiontek fault is that it doesn't provide speed. The true specs are 200mhz core 166 mhz memory. Being the crazy kid i am..i have jumped it to 347 mhz core and 180 mhz memory. for those who dont' realize how much 147 mhz jump benefits..it benefits a lot a lot. The problem is that increasing mhz means massive cooling. IF the cooling is not good enough you can burn out the chip. But first you will see little specs while gaming. These are artifacts and can foretell of a potential meltdown.
