Nice Video Card, while it lasted, which was 2 months.
Pros:
When it works it was good. Install was fine
Cons:
Customer service less than helpful, $10 to submit warranty less than 90 days old.
The Bottom Line:
The product if functioning perfectly is fine, however if there is an issue your far better off using a different brand. Support is all important. You may need it.

Author's Review
This product review will be fairly short, as was the product life. I had wanted a better graphics card than the old 64 mb card I had, and this was seemingly a good product, 256 mb of memory, and was Vista ready. Its a AGP card, requires a power supply off the computers power, and requires your computer have at least a 280 watt power supply. Fairly simple and easy to install, and for the first 2 months the performance was great. I was pleased. However one morning I came in and the computer had no video. (I leave the computer on all the time, it goes to "sleep" and "awakes" when you hit a key or move the mouse) I got sound, but the monitor said "no video". A re boot did nothing to change this. So I powered down the computer while I went to work, and after 10 hours, I rebooted and all was fine. Good! For one day. Then the same thing happened again. Only this time a rest did nothing, it was dead. No video. To insure the video card was the culprit, I reinstalled my old video card, and of course everything is fine. So Product is out after 2 months.
Now Best Buys won't take it back, its out of thier return period. So here's where the "buyer beware" should be noted. VisionTek has in my opinion a pretty shoddy customer service department. After a total of SEVEN emails, I finally got the information to them just to recieve a Return authorization to return under warranty the defective card. And even tho the card is under 90 days old they state:
"Also note that warranty service does require that a $10.00 check or money order accompany your defective product for return shipping and handling."
So Im less than thrilled with the customer service, their warranty service, and the product itself (given my experience).
