This game has to be one of the most absolutely brilliantly conceived games to come out since Nintendo's TENNIS came out along while back ( and I mean a long while, LOL)
This game is truly one of the best tennis games out on the market and dare I say one of the best tennis games ever made?!!
Let me discuss the various fronts that make this game 1 of the best games on the sport (tennis) market.
First off is the graphics, the Visuals to say the least, will make you Drop your jaw on many an occasion with great textures, lighting, and an overall effect that adds to the overall impact of the game.
The Graphics are definetly groundbreaking and one of the best looking games on the market, but as I always say, Graphics dont make a game, its the Gameplay that really pushes the game although graphics just really add to what the gameplay does.
Which brings me to the next point, the Gameplay! The gameplay is quite varied and is great although there is some things I didnt enjoy about the gameplay. The Gameplay is varied due to the variety of real tennis professionals in the game which adds legitmacty to the game having players like Pete Sampras and other tennis legends.
However, 1 fault I see is the somewhat unrealisic play of the AI on higher difficutly lvls. To say the Hard difficutly is frustrating at times is an understatement, however it doenst detract too much from the fun of this game.
Along with the Tournament there are also side quests and bonuses you can earn as you build your character up thru the tennis ranks which give this game a lot of replay value which is the mark of a Great Game.
To cap it off , the sound is also good and compliments the game but I mean when did a Tennis Game need great music bar the sound effects! (LOL)
With all these factors combined, I find this game to be one of the best Tennis Games on the Market and if your looking for a Tennis Game that really is fun to play then Virtua Tennis is your choice!
