A Game Worth Fighting For.

Now I'm an avid fan of all fighting games including Tekken and DOA but I must say the true king of the genre is definitly Virtua Fighter and they have once again proved this to me with their newest iteration the form of Virtua Fighter 5. this game offers the same high paced visceral fighting action as its predecessors but with new brilliant High Definition graphics and more skill based combat that is heavily reliant on timing and really knowing the characters move sets. The hit detection is nearly perfect and the movements are fluid and realistic as your characters gracefully glide across the screen in some of the best animations Ive ever seen in a game before.I do have one complaint but it has nothing to do with the game but more so with the Xbox360's D-pad itself which most players use for more precise button presses but the pad on the Xbox is so slippery it almost hinders you. This of course in no way breaks the game its just a minor annoyance. This version of the game bests it PS3 brother in several areas as well. The game sports higher detail resolution on objects and better shader technology to increase the atmosphere of the game. Secondly the Xbox360 version offers an online component where you can go online and battle friends across networks. This of course has NEVER been offered by any Virtua Fighter game before and is only available on the Xbox360 and I must say I'm impressed though there was one instance where the game did lag very badly online and even dropped the match. This only happened once or twice however out of weeks of play and I'm certainly not complaining. This is another great addition to the franchise that any fighting fan should check out.
