I bought this Viking stand mixer to make double batches of my favorite recipes that I want to freeze.

My experience with my Viking mixer has been wonderful! I enjoy making large batches of bread, mashed potatoes, cookies, dog treats.

The double batch (6 cups of flour, which looked like such a small amount in the large bowl) pizza dough I made came out perfect! Very pleased with the way the dough was picked up from the sides of bowl at the end of mixing. Very easily could have used 12 cups of flour with ease, the bowl is so large. The dough hook is easy to put in (counterclockwise) and take off (clockwise).

I also made cookies with the V - beater, which also covers a large area of the bowl with little scraping of bowl.

There is power and then some with this machine, which is built to last. Bowl latches in and stays put while mixing. Very easy to remove bowl. The plastic pouring shield fits on with ease. Pour shield shoot is in the front of mixer, makes putting ingredients in convenient. Put on before you put in beater.
The head release is so simple. This mixer is sturdy and the V- beater, dough hook, and whip are heavy duty stainless steel and dishwasher safe. The cord is extra heavy duty. Stays in place on counter during use yet easy to move back to storage location on counter with wheels on back of mixer. No lifting !
