Overpriced & Unreliable

I ran into a similar problem to that described by the other reviewer. 14 months after installation, the bottom oven stopped heating. The fan worked, the light worked -- just no heat. After calling all the local contacts -- my installer, the Viking west coast distributor, an authorized repair shop, I placed a call to Viking in Mississippi. In sum, they didn't give a rip about my problem. The warranty is only one year, so when the oven breaks down two months after it is out of warranty, don't count on Viking to do anything for you.

Believing the hype about the superiority of Viking products, my wife and I purchased an entire kitchen of their stuff. I'm pretty sure now we made a costly mistake. Next time, I'll go with a manufacturer who offers a better-made product, a longer warranty, and who cares about their customers.
