Very Irresistible

The Bottom Line: a great frangrance

A Very Irresistible Present

As I unwrapped one of my Christmas presents from my mum I discovered a gorgeous looking rich pink coloured glossy perfume box. On the front of the box embossed in silver were the words 'Very Irresistible Givenchy'.

A Very Irresistible Bottle

As I opened the top of the elegant looking box I discovered another lid made from white card which was there as protection for the perfume. I opened this in anticipation and a triangular shaped clear perfume bottle lid was revealed. As I removed the perfume from the box I realised that to my delight the bottle was even more gorgeous than the box! The bottom of the bottle starts as a deep rose colour and gradually fades up to a clear, light rose colour at the top of the bottle. The bottle itself is like the shape of a triangular prism but gently twisted, with soft rounded edges. The shape of the bottle makes you want to reach out and feel it! Before you get to the lid, there is a silver rim around the top of the bottle which has the name of the perfume engraved on it, with one word on each face which makes it look very sophisticated. The bottle is made from glass and the lid is made from acrylic. The clear lid reveals the silver top where the perfume is sprayed from. The bottle is so beautiful and so eye-catching that it currently resides right in the centre of my dressing table.

A Very Irresistible Fragrance

The beautiful feminine scent really does live up to expectations. The fragrance is described as 'sensually radiant, luminous, very feminine and elegant. It bursts with Roses and is infused with star anise and verbena leaf'. The perfume consists of a combination of different rose scents which blend together to give a refreshing, flowery scent. The fragrance is fresh and light enough to be worn in the day but also has a sexy, sensual and elegant smell which makes it great for evening wear too. The rose smell is gorgeous but not too evident and nothing like the 'grandma smell' that many people seem to associate with rose! Another good thing is that the scent is long lasting so there is normally no need to re-apply during a evening out.

A Very Irresistible Conclusion

I absolutely adore this perfume. The bottle is so attractive and the scent does not disappoint. The scent is quite strong when first applied so I could understand that someone who does not like a strong scent may not be as impressed as I was but all in all this is a truly delicious smelling perfume.
There is only one criticism, which I have which is that the lid can be quite awkward to replace. This is due to the shape of the bottle and there is only one way that the lid will fit on and it is not evident which way it needs to be put on by looking at it. Although this is only a minor thing and this really is a beautiful perfume, which I would definitely, recommend.
