An Inspiring CD.

I chose to do a review on Carrie Underwood. She is a great singer, who has a great voice and a great attitude about life. I did not get to watch the American idol that she was on, but after I heard her song Jesus Take the Wheel I knew I had to get the CD. After getting the CD all of her songs touched me in so many different ways.
Her first song on the album was “Wasted”, this song tells a lot about life and how we should take life as if it was coming at us fast. Most of us use something to keep us going; I drink caffeine to keep me going, but it only works for a short amount of time before it starts to weir off. I know some days I am just so tired that I just want to sleep. Most people drink to find their way out of things. And that is wasting your life doing nothing and one day it is going to be gone.
The second song is called “Don’t forget to remember me”. This song I think I can somewhat relate to, as I was going to college my first time. School was just in Ephraim and I lived in Gunnison; so not far from home, but it helped me realize that I am on my own and I have to do things know like pay bills, buy food, and work for what I need. It was very hard to leave home, but I knew everything was going to be okay. I missed my family dearly but I was only 30 minutes away and could go home whenever I need to. Most people move hundred of miles way and I can’t imagine how hard it would be.
The third song is called “Some Hearts”. This song is me I married my high school love, he has been there for me and always will I hope. I sometime feel that I am lucky to have found a great husband and father. To be able to talk to him about anything shows that he love me and will do anything for me. Next is “Jesus Take the Wheel”, this song tells a lot about life. If you are having a hard time or rough day, you always pray and hope that Jesus can help you through it. I do it all the time, this song really touched me and the effort she puts into it is just moving.
Next is “Night Before (Life Goes On)”, this song is kind of like me but not. I don’t smoke, but I am afraid that some day my husband is going to get activated with the National Guard, it will be our last night with each other for a long time, but our life’s will go on. Then it is “Lessons Learned”, great song as well like I said before, I love all of her songs and I can relate to almost all of them. I have done so many things in my past that I regret that I wish I could take them back. I guess like the song is titles lessons learned.
That is just some of the songs she sings. I am going to end with this song by her that is “Before He Cheats”, this song is one that I have had someone cheat on me, but I would not go to the extreme of smashing up his car to get even. In the song she says
“That I dug my key into the side of his pretty little supped up 4 wheel drive, carved my name into his leather seats. I took a Louisville slugger to both head lights,
slashed a hole in all 4 tires” I think that tells it all.
All in all it is a great CD and tells a lot. I know that I can take some of the songs, if I am having a bad day, and listen to them and they calm me down it is a great CD.
