Excellent, easy to program!

After suffering with my Phillips Pronto Universal remote for years, i had to do something due to my new Scientific Atlanta 8300HD DVR cable box not being compatible with any remotes i had.
So I was pleasantly surprised to try to new Logitech 880 and find to programming simple, fast, and correct!
I have a Phillips 55" Lycos HD tv, Denon A/V receiver, Denon DVD, and the SA 8300HD DVR box. Because the DVR functions are new, the older remotes can't support them the the SA remote won't support audio through the A/V receiver. I had to get a universal remote or no one in the family would be able to operate the home theater system.
The 880 remote was very easy to program using the pc software and usb cable. you click through your equipment and model #'s and tell the program what device you use for volume/audio, channel changing, etc and it sets up macros for each thing. So i have graphics/text for Watching TV/PVR, Watching DVD, Listening to CD, Listening to Radio.
the 880 turns everything on and off properly and sets the controls for the device you want to use, so for each function you don't have to switch back and forth to tv remote, dvd remote, sa remote, etc. it knows which keys go to each device.
I think the entire process took 15-20 minutes, but you do need to charge it first out of the box.
When I first programmed the remote, the source function switching from Cable to DVD was not correct, but after a quick trouble shoot, I realized I hadn't programmed my TV correctly, and that fixed the problem.
