Uniden EXI5160 5.8 GHz 1-Line Cordless Phone

I bought the phone, a Uniden EX15150 5.8GHZ Cordless Phone in a Christmas rush in New Orleans, 35 miles from here. I had liked another Uniden model which only lasted about two years before it gave out. When I first got it home that night I noticed that I didn't like it much at all, but it was too far to drive and I was far too rushed to take it back, for about a month or so, and by then I felt I was stuck with it. It had to have a new battery pack early on. I couldn't even step out the back door without it crackling terribly and cutting off, not twenty feet away! And now, little more than a year and a half later, it's just broken down, and I don't intend on trying to get it repaired. I just want another phone. I've about had it with Uniden anyhow...the Uniden this one replaced only lasted a little more than a year also, but at least I liked it a whole lot better.
