Avoid this frig

The Bottom Line: Avoid at all costs or you'll be wasting your money and buying something else to replace it.
I bought this for a kitchen remodel and didn't want to spend $1000 like Mikes review says. We've had an Avanti at work for 20+ years (non-built in type)and has worked OK so I thought it was worth saving some money as this is the only built in I could find for near this price. After a year and a half, I've had the same problems as others have noted. Frosts up after a few months, noisy, large range of temp....when set at 35 or so it will heat up to nearly 50 before it kicks on, then runs for extreme periods. Very poor instructions on how to set temperature. Stainless door dented fairly easily. Stops and shelves are annoying and makes it hard to move them around as needed so I needed to remove the stops. Now fan started making LOUD noise so I pulled it out and looked at getting it replaced and the only thing I can find on the net says the brand of fan used is crap which is not surprising. Save up and go with a reputable name brand. I called Avanti early on to ask some questions and they did not return calls. Had to keep calling until someone answered and when they did, they were fairly discourteous and absolutely no help. One of the worst purchases I've ever made. Avoid Avanti products or you'll be sorry.
