UNBELIEVABLE! YOUR EARS WILL BE IN AWE!

The Bottom Line: Some gasp at the $399 price tag but they'll easily sell you once you given them a test drive! I say to everyone, 'take a listen to this...'
Very rarely do you buy a product these days that just take your breath away. The ULTRASONE PROline 750s do that as soon as you put in the 'Here-is-what-these-babies-can-do' CD that is provided by Ultrasone in the packaging. Out of the box the 750s look very sturdy and well built. Some consider them not the best looking phones out there…BUT WHO CARES?!? I will break these headphones down as best as I possibly can because these headphones are NOT for everybody.
PROFESSIONALS: The highlighted features given by Ultrasone on these headphones are to the letter. They have a PERFECT spatial sound to them! The velvet lining on the ear-cups and the inner part of the headrest, not only is rather comfortable, but grips really well compared to other headphones that use leather, fake-leather, or a plastic composite. Trust me all the features Ultrasone points out is there! I am an audio engineer and I put these babies to work the moment FedEx delivered them from Sweetwater! After I got over the initial shock of how much I was missing within my music and mixes, I went right to work on my current project. I must have mixed for a few hours straight. My ears were easily less fatigued than usual with the 750s. All the hiss, hum, artifacts, etc. I easily could hear and remove from my mix. If you need a good pair of headphone monitors, the 750s will serve you very well. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THESE FOR SOUND PROFESSIONALS and AUDIOPHILES!
AVERAGE CONSUMER: Beware! You may not like these headphones! These are a flat response set of headphones which means whatever sound is on your media (CD, MP3, etc.) you will hear exactly like it is, no augmentation. MOST CONSUMER HEADPHONES, SPEAKERS, ETC. BOOST THE HIGHS AND LOWS!! You probably will not recognize your music. I could even hear faintly in the background before a track started the recording engineer say 'tape rolling' which is virtually inaudible on all my consumer gear! NOW, that does not say your music will sound bad…ABSOLUTELY NOT…it's going to sound DIFFERENT. It will sound the way the recording engineer and mixer had it sounding in their studio. MP3 PEOPLE PAY CLOSE ATTENTION!! These headphones will make your MP3s sound like junk! MP3s are not an accurate representation of the original sound waveform. You will hear the audio compression and artifacts of an MP3! As I said before, most consumer gear will cover this up and you will not even notice it. Thus, how MP3s have boomed. Also, the standard jack to the 750s is a stereo 1/4" jack, when, all your CD players, MP3 players, computers, etc. are a stereo 1/8". Ultrasone provides you with a step-down adapter but I don't think you want this protruding from your IPOD. Besides who wants to walk around town with a $400 set of headphones! Not where I live! These could be really These could be really enticing to those who play video games with 3D sound, however.
The Ultrasone PROline 750s sound incredible! They will make your mouth drop and stare off into space. They have crisp highs, smooth mids, and accurate low-end response. These headphones easily justify their price as soon as you put them one and hear what you have been missing. The detachable cord is more than convenient with the choice of a coiled or straight. Portable, foldable and all-around designed well. This is the first pair of Ultrasone headphones that I have owned and they have me more than sold on their quality and performance. If you are looking for a premium headphone set then the ULTRASONE PROline 750s are for you!
