U2 - Rattle and Hum

I don't even know where to begin with this amazing "movie". I remember anticipating this movie coming out back in the 1980's when I was in 7th grade. The trailers were so exciting and there was nothing my friends and I wanted to do more than to see this movie. We went to the theater on opening day (it happened to be a day off from school) and actually sat on the floor in the front of the theater so we could be as close to the movie as possible. It was amazing. The sights, the sounds.

It was even more exciting when Rattle and Hum was released on VHS and now currently on DVD, of course. This was filmed in black and white and features the band as they really started to take off in the United States. The cameras follow them to Graceland and on a U.S. tour. Songs included in this DVD are Sunday Bloody Sunday, Where the Streets Have No Name, I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For (with a choir), and Exit (my favorite - a rare performance).

I highly recommend this DVD to the novice U2 fan who is wanting to learn a bit about the band from back in the 1980's. This DVD will really make you feel like you are part of the action. It doesn't appear dated (except for the long hair-dos from Bono and The Edge).
