Author's Review
Having started the Twisted Metal series back with the first Version, I naturally rushed out to purchase TM4 as soon as I saw it was released, expecting another masterpiece. I was not disappointed!
Starting with TM2, my favorite aspect of the game is running Co-Op games, so I don't have to continually embarrass my friends as I blow them into Oblivion. This option is still present in TM4, much to my delight.
For those of you not acquanted with the game, the point is to drive your suped-up car of your choice around different cities in the world and kill the other players--also driving cars of their choice. As the game progresses, you have a choice of different weapons that you can pick up as you drive to include land mines, missles, etc...
Although the TM games really rock in single player mode, playing friends is the way to keep your interest in the game. There have been way too many nights to count where I have sat on a couch with friends drinking cold beer, smoking cigarettes, and screaming "Watch Out, Thumper is behind you!" or "Sweet Tooth just got toasted!"
The graphics in TM4 have been improved once again, and the controls are a little smoother than the controls in TM3. The music is unbelievable again, with an added perk of having a car included for Rob Zombie in the game (also featuring songs by Rob Zombie--perfect music for killing your buddies!)
In Short, this is definitely another great game produced by 989 studios, and although Rocky movies got worse the more they produced, TM$ just keeps getting better!
