Turtle Magazine-For Preschoolers!

If you have read my opinions in the past then you know that my mother runs a Day Care in our home. In addition to that I have a three year old God Daughter and Two and a Half year old nephew.

My mother subscribed to Turtle magazine some time ago. Turtle magazine is a magazine for Preschoolers. When subscribing to this magazine you will receive 8 issues throughout the year. The cost for the entire subscription is just a little over $20.00. On the cover you will meet the fun, happy little Turtle for whom this magazine is named.

In every issue there are many Fun To Read stories and rhymes or poems. The writings are usually based on the season, holiday, or the time of year. In example this months October/November 2000 issue contains poem about autumn and Halloween. Every story or poem is illustrated wonderfully to give the child a picture of what they are reading about. Every issue also has a story in which pictures replace the words so your child can read along with you.

Another regular aspect of the magazine in Fun To Do activities. The magazine has easy to do mazes, hidden pictures, simple experiments, easy and fun meal ideas, connecting the dots, and matching games. Also, this magazine even has a center fold. . .of Turtle of course. Turtle is place in a scene pertaining to the season or holiday for that issue which the kids love to hang up and talk about.

Turtle magazine also has a section for Parents and Teachers. This is located on the very last page. The section is Titled "Ask Dr. Corey." This gives you information on health, fitness, immunizations etc.

Turtle magazine is a great magazine for preschoolers! It gives the parent some ideas of what to do with children along with some good advise. Children also LOVE to receive mail. :o)
