Seeds of Perfection
Pros:
Good graphic, great controls, some of the weapons are really cool, you get lots of game play out of this one
Cons:
Some of the weapons are duds, the multi-player didn't receive as much attention as the rest of the game, plot is cheesy-but if you're playing for plot you're a weirdo

Author's Review
Turok 2 is, in my opinion, the standards setter for all first-person shooter games on the N64. The controls are excellent, with the players view controlled by the stick, and forwards, backwards, and side-to-side controlled by the yellow arrow buttons. The various combined use of the stick and buttons allows for movement in direction that push-run-and-look in the same direction games lack, giving the player unique control advantages that are copied only in the other Turok game and the Duke Nukem line of N64 carts.
The story line is flimsy, but if I wanted a good story, I'd buy a book. The graphics and challenging game play more than make up for the cheese of the plot. If you've purchased the expansion pack, you'll get to see exactly how great the graphic were meant to be. If you don't have one, I'd go out and fork over the $25 or so it takes to buy it.
The game plays for a long time, if you don't use any cheat codes. This is a real bonus, as the game was around $50 when I bought it. There are lots of levels (like twenty or so), and many of those levels are long, confusing, and complex. The level with the underwater chamber that connected the sections of that level, was especially confusing, and it took me a little time to figure it out.
I loved the addition of the sniper weapons (tek-bow and plasma rifle), which allow you to take out enemies at a distance. Other of the weapons were really original (take the Cerebral-Bore for instance) and provided some great viewing even for those who aren't playing. If you have a sick sense of humor, you'll love watching the cerebral bore dig into the bad guys' heads and explode. The truly demented will enjoy the baddies being slammed around by the multiple-rocket-launching scorpion missile launcher.
Some of the weapons, though original, are weak in game play. I can never seem to kill anything with the grenade launcher (I'm better off with the non-tek bow), and the mine layer doesn't seem to do much damage either.
Though a lot of fun to play, the multi-player part of this cart doesn't seem to have the high-grade graphics of the one-player part. You don't get the same weapons as the one-player section, either. (You do get the cerebral bore, though, and is it ever fun to hit your best friend with one of those.) You can play the Velociraptor, a speedy character that can't carry weapons, but instead uses claws and teeth. Using this gives those who are playing against you for the first time a slight advantage, and also boosts your ego when you hack-and-slash them to death. It's not for the uninitiated.
This game is everything a first-person shooter could be, and the only thing that would make it better would be upgrading the multi-player section. If you haven't played it, you're behind the power curve.
