I was so excited to get this freezer. I always thought True was a great brand although I had never had any dealings with it. But with the name being so well known, I thought I was making a good decision. I purchased a unit like this one just a little over two years ago. It looks very professional. Great worktop, beautiful stainless steel, nice amount of space. We use it for storing ice cream and poboy buns and other small dessert type items. It gets to freezing temperature fast after being plugged in. Not to long after we got it, it began to rattle rather loudly. There is a metal piece in the back that seems to get loose after a while which causes this rattle. So, every month or two, we have to pull the freezer out and tighten it up. My customers even make commit on how much noise it can make. Remember this is a new unit. So, other than that I was very happy with my freezer until month 11 (warranty expiring on month 12). It started having huge buildup of ice on the front doors. So, I called True, and trust me this is not an easy, pleasant experience trying to get something done with these people. First they told me one of their representatives would have to come by and look at my machine, and he would call me to set up a time. So, I never heard from him. I called them back. Finally, the man called. Told me he would be there in the next two days. Never saw him. Called him again. Said he would be there on Monday. Never saw or heard from him again. I can't begin to tell you how many people I had to deal with to get this problem fixed. It took me almost two months before I got anything going on it. So, the warranty covered the problem (the heater in the doors went out). They sent new wiring for the heater, but luckily they sent two. The warranty repair man, fixed it and the very next day it burnt out again. So, they had to come back and repair it again. Also, there is no wiring diagram that comes with your paperwork. So, about a year after this problem, I come in to work one Monday morning (we are closed on weekends) and my freezer has stopped working. This caused me to loose all my product in this freezer. So, of course it is no longer under warranty. The fan motor went out. So, had it replaced. After this the rattling is worse than ever. It was so bad, I had to unplug it and call someone to come work on the rattling. So, if you are looking for a great looking piece of equipment that you want to spend a good bit on money on to use as a wonderful worktop and sometimes a freezer, then this one is for you! I have been completely disappointed with this freezer.
