This is a great heater

Groingo got his facts wrong. This is a radiant heater, not an infrared heater, and it does indeed raise the temperature of your room. I have had one for TWENTY YEARS and it still works perfectly, and it is in perfect condition. If I wiped off the dust, it would look brand new. In fact, I stumbled across these reviews because I am looking to buy a new one (to put in another room). This heater is built like a rock. My only objection is that the knobs are near the floor, so I have to either bend over or pick the the heater up to change the settings (but it is light, so picking it up is not a problem).  I would recommend this heater to ANYONE.
