In the mood for weirdness?

I first saw this movie about three years ago. It was the middle of the night, and happened to be the only thing on. At 3 AM, when it ended, the most distinct thought in my mind was - "This would be a great movie to watch if you were high."

In the beginning of the movie, a rather kookie toy-factory owner dies, and, instead of leaving the factory to either of his kookier kids (robin Williams plays his son), he leaves it to his more mature military fanatic brother. The brother decides to use the factory to produce war toys, and Robin Williams must rescue the operation from his evil hands and turn it back into the feel-good company it once was. I would describe this movie as "Tommy Boy" on drugs.

If you like Robin Williams humor, you'll like this movie. If you don't - well, there's still a chance. I'm not a big Robin Williams fan, but this film is just so - bizarre - I like it anyway.

One star I am a fan of is LL Cool J. He plays the son of the very white brother (therefore the cousin of Robin Williams - just an example of how weird this movie is). As usual, his character is very cool, very macho, and very hot.

My other favorite character in the movie is the actress who plays Robin Willaims' sister. She is truly a weird one, and only gets weirder as the movie progresses (you'll really see what I mean in the end). She dresses up in paperdoll clothes, eats applesauce sandwiches, and sings regularly in a corner in the ladies' restroom. And she has the most off-the-wall lines.

Overall, I highly recommend this movie. It's a bit of a head trip, but that can be fun....
