The Perfect Car!!
Date of Review: Jul 7, 2006
The Bottom Line: Before I bought one for myself, everyone who has one could only say good things about it.
I bought a 2006 RAV4 Sport 4 cyl about a month ago. Every time I get in to drive where ever I need to go I'm in heaven. The 4 cyl engine is plenty to get around as well as economical these days with gas prices soaring and the V6 not getting as good gas mileage. Toyota has really thought everything about the upgrade they put on the car with the exception of the sun visor. It is twice as thick as any other visor I have ever seen, which my garage remote will not attach too. Luckily when I remove the clip from the remote it fits perfectly in the little storage bin left of the steering wheel. Other people say upgrade the review mirror to the one with the homelink in it. But, I don't need to spend the extra $300.
The car has plenty of space on the interior, with the sliding rear seats and the fact they fold flat. You can just about fit anyone in the back seats or haul anything. My cousin has BMW X3 and he jealous of the roomy interior due to the fact he has 8 month old son with a car seat in the back seat. Which rubs against the front seat unless you move the front seat all the way up with your legs cramped up against the dash board. We put his car seat in the RAV and it had at least 4" with both seats all the way back.
The accessories are great with a jack in the arm rest to connect your mp3 player to the speakers of the car. The fore mention sliding rear seats, moonroof, side airbags, etc.
I could go on for hours about his car, but by now I think you have gotten the point I've been trying to get across. The RAV4 is a great car and now I can finally say I am a Toyota guy. After watching a special on the Toyota Co. I will never buy another brand of car. There motto a car could be the best selling car of all cars, but they look at it and ask how can they make it even better next year.
I would recommend this car.
