Looking at Versa, Fit, or Yaris?? Add Toyota Corolla to That "Must Drive" List!

by   mrkstvns ,  Oct 25, 2006
Pros: Toyota reliability, 41 MPG, and a $14K price tag.
Cons: See if you find any.
The Bottom Line: The times are right for great small cars. The time is right to drive a Corolla.
Review: Now is a great time to be shopping for a small car, and as Americans increasingly trade in their bloated, fat, gas guzzling SUVs on smaller, sleeker, sexier cars, they're finding lots of exciting choices on the market. Recent months have seen ...

~~~2006 TOYOTA COROLLA 4-DOOR CE SEDAN: FROM THE EYES OF A WOMAN~~~
by   ddustyrose ,  Sep 10, 2006
Pros: gas mileage, quiet, smooth ride, good radio
Cons: Could be too small for heavy-set or large people
The Bottom Line: An impressive car that has a lot of get-up and go.
Review: Writing about cars is, admittedly, something I’m not familiar with so guys, I’m sure this will not meet your criteria for a helpful review. I am walking down an unfamiliar road and I do believe I see a sign ahead that says CURVES FOR DUMMIES. ...
Corolla = Petals of a Flower = Lightweight and Fuel Efficient!
by   vchand ,  May 3, 2006
Pros: Low cost, inexpensive, lots of features, power everything, comfortable, quiet, and fuel efficient.
Cons: None so far...
The Bottom Line: One of the best solutions for the rising price for gas these days.
Review: Last month, I decided to get myself a brand new car to replace my older 2001 Toyota Corolla. I was only interested in a Honda or a Toyota for the right price. So I went to Serramonte Honda and test drove one of their Civic’s (the EX to be ...
2006 Toyota Corolla. Get one while you can
by   skippio ,  May 24, 2007
Pros: Good MPG, well engineered. Good all round small car.
Cons: Nothing bad. Front seat buzzer, tires.
The Bottom Line: There are a lot of good cars out there. You won't feel slighted if you get the Toy. no real problems anywhere.
Review: There are a lot of things that prompt a person to buy a new car. I bought mine because Cecil likes Toyotas. I think Cecil was the original James Bond. He has dual US and English citizenship and disappears for extended lengths of time. For over a year ...
Stickin' it to the man!
by   thrasher32 ,  Apr 21, 2006
Pros: Gas mileage, spacious interior, adequate power
Cons: Radio position, Antilock brakes and Side Airbags are options
The Bottom Line: Highly recommended.
Review: The Toyota Corolla is a survivor. Introduced in 1968, it has gone through 9 generations of change, all culminating in today's version. To say the Corolla is fully matured would be an understatement. It might surprise some people that the Corolla is ...
2006 Toyota Corolla CE
by   lemko ,  Oct 6, 2006
Pros: Good basic transportation for the non-enthusiast.
Cons: Sloppy finish on visors. Hesitation when accelerating.
The Bottom Line: I usually drive much larger sedans like Cadillacs and Buicks, but if I were in the market for an economy sedan, I'd definitely take a serious look at the Corolla.
Review: I took my 1999 Cadillac Seville STS in to the dealer for scheduled maintenance yesterday afternoon. As a courtesy, the dealer gave me a loaner car so I could get to work. Usually, they give me a Cadillac, but they were fresh out of Cadillacs. The dealer ...
Like peanut butter and chocolate, what's not to love?
by   paperclip08 ,  Mar 27, 2007
Pros: Gas mileage (42mpg), fit and finish, power for a small I-4, driving comfort.
Cons: Radio position, and thats being picky :) None really!
The Bottom Line: You should definitely give the 2006 Corolla a look, I drove it as a rental, and became a fan. Take a look for yourself, can not ignore the value!
Review: I rented the Corolla 4DR Base model from Hertz a few months ago. They gave me the option to choose from a 7K mile Fusion or a 15K mile Corolla, and although I usually go for the car with the least number of miles I chose the Corolla. Boy am I glad I ...
Got 40.4 MPG in my first road trip with Corolla LE
by   kubotabx2200 ,  Jun 1, 2008
Pros: Fantastic 40+ MPG highway. 34 MPG City. Quiet. Comfortable ride. Fairly roomy. Power options.
Cons: Seat belt beeps until you buckle up. No trunk release on remote.
The Bottom Line: Greatly exceeds my expectations. Fantastic gas mileage and fairly peppy with a good ride and quiet too. Recommend.
Review: I just bought this 2006 Corolla LE from a local doctor who is relocating from here in New Hampshire to Pittsburgh, PA. I was looking for a new car and here is what I looked at: * Nissan Versa * Honda Fit * Mazda MAZDA3 I looked at a new ...
2006 Corolla LE
by   joelansing ,  Apr 17, 2006
Pros: MPG, Reliability, Ride, Features, Price!
Cons: I'll post some when I find some?
The Bottom Line: Not a Lexus, at least as good as Civic, Great bang for the buck. Will leave you with a smile driving, and at the pump!
Review: I really like this ride. I had an older 2001 Chevy Prizm (2001 Corolla with Chevy nameplate). The ride is very smooth, much smoother than my 2001, and also much smoother than the 1999 Olds Alero GLS I had before. I picked this up in April 2006 when ...
Drive a $21,000 Ford Focus and you'll RUN to Toyota!
by   beatleologist ,  May 25, 2006
Pros: 38 MPG, Looks, Ride, Rock solid Toyota Reliability.
Cons: ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!
The Bottom Line: By far the best car you can buy for the price and beats the Ford Focus in all aspects for $5000.00 less. Toyota will always be known for quality.
Review: We were looking for a third car and drove the Focus and the larger Fusion. The Focus was OK, just OK. The Fusion was OK but bigger. We thought to ourselves.."What are we doing here?" We have an Echo and a Tacoma (read our reviews in them) and realized ...
