A solid truck

Date of Review:  Oct 18, 2002
The Bottom Line: The Tundra is a quality truck, and although it has a few low points, is still better than the other three large pickups.
Review: The Toyota Tundra is a pickup truck which is suited well for city driving. It provides a smooth ride and handles well. Mine is a 2WD access cab V8. The 2002 Tundra is available in two body styles- a regular cab with an 8' long bed, and an access cab...

One Awesome Tough Truck

Date of Review:  Oct 19, 2001
The Bottom Line: Excellent quality, looks sharp and smart, if you're thinking about buying a Chevy, fork out a little more and get a Tundra.
Review: I traded in my 2000 Toyota Tundra for a 2002 Toyota Tundra Access Cab SR5. I LOVED my 2000 model- basically just wanted leather interior and a new color. So far, other than having the leather interior now in my new truck, I can find no significant...

Chevy, Ford, & Dodge running scared

Date of Review:  Mar 21, 2002
The Bottom Line: Bottom Line, if you look at the Tundra you will buy the Tundra.
Review: Let me first say that I have been either a Ford or Dodge truck owner/user most my life. Several months ago I began my search for a new truck, looking at Ford and Chevy. Dodge was no longer an option for me. More on that later. I was looking for V8,...

2002 SR5 TRD 4WD Tundra Access Cab

Date of Review:  Apr 19, 2007
The Bottom Line: These are great trucks but good luck finding a used one.
Review: I test Drove every model of truck out there before settling on this particular vehicle. There is definitely some consistency through the reviews that I will attempt to address.

The truck had 65,000 miles on it when purchased, and the check...

I Traded my Lexus Rx 300 for this Truck

Date of Review:  Jan 26, 2007
Review: I have a 2002 Toyota Tundra V8 SR5 V8 4WD Access Cab truck. I traded my Lexus RX 300 for this truck and I thought that the ride was just about the same. My husband uses it on the weekends to pull his drag car to the track, he says that he cant even...

Superior ride, power and quality

Date of Review:  Mar 2, 2002
The Bottom Line: This is the best quality built truck on the market today.
Review: Having test driven all major competitors in this vehicle class, the Tundra in the V8 version was a clear choice for me. I observed noticeable differences between the Toyota Tundra and its competition. If you are in the market for a quality truck, do...

I Love My Tundra

Date of Review:  Dec 18, 2001
The Bottom Line: Toyota Tundras are superb(must have)! Chevy/GMC have craftsmanship issues but they have nice options. Ford's have a school bus like ride and Dodge Rams Quality could be better.
Review: I traded my 2000 Chevy Silverado Ext Cab 3dr for my 2002 Tundra Limited 4dr. with the TRD Package and Leather. I am overwhelmingly pleased with this truck and sometimes wonder if it?s not actually a Lexus in disguise. I am the very picky type who...

I'll Never Buy Ford Again

Date of Review:  Mar 13, 2002
The Bottom Line: The Toyota Tundra is a reliable, quiet riding, and overall superior pickup truck. Its performance, safety, and quality far outweigh that of any other truck on the market.
Review: I come from a Ford family, so when I told my dad I was considering buying a Toyota, I thought he would disown me. He owns a farm and everyone there and at all of the neighboring farms drives either a Ford or a Chevy. I can say upfront that I have...

Can You Overlook Bad Brakes?

Date of Review:  Feb 19, 2002
The Bottom Line: I bought a Toyota after hearing about their quality and reliability, and being fascinated with people's devotion to the brand. Check this issue out. This is not an isolated case.
Review: Hmm. I was convinced that Toyota was the way to go after everything I'd heard. Looked into the Tundra. After some research (not enough), I decided on it b/c it was THE BENCHMARK for safety in crash tests, and IT WAS A TOYOTA. I bought a 2002 loaded...

Great Truck

Date of Review:  Sep 6, 2008
The Bottom Line: I would buy this truck again in a heartbeat. The quality has to be seen to be appreciated. Even with the somewhat high price, it is a great value.
Review: I traded a '99 F-150 and the difference in quality is unreal. Everything in the Toyota fits and performs perfectly. No rattles, quiet on the road, great stereo. The V-8 is the only way to go, a perfect match for the size of this truck. It is a...
