Pros: Beautiful and stylish automobile. Loaded with safety and luxury features.
Cons: Can be pricey when compared with competition.
The Bottom Line: If driving a convertible is your thing or it is something you always wanted to do, give the Solara a test drive.
Review: Toyota Camry Solara, 2002
Put a Little Sun in your Life. Toyota is trying to attract a younger base of customer with a new sportier looking Camry. The Camry is now available in three different trims. The SE which is the base model,... |

Pros: High comfort, appealing design, excellent interior layout, stability
Cons: Considerable measurements, narrow tires, "fair" acceleration
The Bottom Line: If you want a peppy drive without the stiff suspension and head-ringing noise, give the Solara a try. I think you'll like it.
Review: Well, being 17 and coming to own a Solara was definitely an unexpected maneuver in my driving career. It's my first car, and I know, you're all sitting there thinking, "Eugh. Dumb rich kids." and yeah, I know, it's terrible. But I'll have you know all...

Pros: Quiet, very refined, exterior looks, comfortable seats, tinted windows, power
Cons: Frameless door windows, lint trap seats, stiff steering, plastic looking wood trim
The Bottom Line: You will feel like you paid alot more when driving this car. Little touches like the all around tinted windows and painted mud flaps give it the edge.
Review: I have just over 600kms on my new 2002 Solara SE. Yes, the 2004's are almost out - making me very happy I was able to purchase this body style after seeing the new one! With Access Toyota's (what a ripoff) non-bargaining policy on the new 2003 models in ...

Pros: Excellent ride and incomparable Toyota reliability
Cons: Trunk space in convertible
The Bottom Line: If you are looking for luxury and reliability this is the car for you.
Review: Since my 2001 Toyota Celica GT was just too small to squeeze in and out of every day I upgraded to a 2002 Toyota Solara convertible. It's a beautiful car in every respect. The V6 engine is a flawless performer which still gets reasonable gas mileage. The...

Pros: Smooth ride, great acceleration for size, purchase value & re-sale potential
Cons: Tires, Toyota Service Team
The Bottom Line: Toyota did a great job making this car -- re-styled it just enough from the 2001 model.
Review: Some background: I'm a mid 20's guy that would rather have a comfortable drive on 200-300 mile trips instead of fly. I previously owned a '98 Camry LE sedan, which was ultra-dependable, but rather bland when it came to styling.
After test... |

Pros: Looks, Feel, Seat Comfort, Climate Control
Cons: Typical wide door on two door cars
The Bottom Line: GET ONE & LOVE IT!
Review: I have driven nothing but Nissans for twenty-seven years, and even wrote an epinion for the Pathfinder.
My lease was coming up on my 1999 Pathfinder and I was thinking of a Maxima. I read all the reports on the Camry, Accord, and Maxima and... |

Pros: sound system, extremely quiet, great gas mileage, spacious, Lexus quality
Cons: no gas cap "string", the throw is longer than I expected
The Bottom Line: This is the best car ever. The sound system, the suspension, the space, everything is so perfect. I even slept in my car comfortably.
Review: First of all I would like to say, wow! This car is totally awesome and for someone of my caliber. I mean I went from a 96 Grand Am to this! But I guess that I am a little biased because to me, if it aint a Toyota, it aint no good. But, HEY,...

Pros: This is a very dependable car.
Cons: Tell you the truth I don't have anything
Review: I am 19 years old and I got a 02 Solara and I love it. Somebody said that it wasn't a car for younger people. But I absolutely love it and so do all my friends. It runs good, sounds good, looks good and good on gas and it can get up and fly. I have the ...

Pros: Comfy ride, dependable, great gas mileage.
Cons: Interior fabric is icky.
Review: We bought this car new and have very loved it ever since. It's fun to drive, amazingly economical, has a great sound system and plenty of pep. If the interior were a bit snazzier, you'd swear you were in a Lexus. The trunk is roomy and easy to work ...

Pros: Everything is a "Pro" About this Car
Cons: 2-Door May Not Be Convenient for Families
Review: I probably shouldn't admit this but I am an employee for an American automaker; however, Toyota's are the only cars I will drive. I previously owned a Camry which drove like a Lexus throughout its long life. I can honestly say that my Solara has proven ...
