In 1996 I went to lease a Camry. I still love the Camry's but when I saw how much more was offered in the Avalon, I leased that instead. Now, 3-1/2 years later, I still love my Avalon! Typical of Toyotas, it thrives on neglect; however, regular servicing makes it perform beautifully! I drive a lot - 86,000 miles in 3-1/2 years - and every mile was comfortable, secure and the performance has been beyond expectations. The large trunk and roomy back seat makes it the best car for my needs, since I haul a lot of people and stuff! Obviously, with the mileage, I plan to buy the car at the end of the lease (soon) and will keep it until the wheels fall off!
