Product Review

Poor man's Lexis

by   kanotoa ,   Aug 18, 2003

Pros:  High quality, nice ride, good gas mileage, good power

Cons:  Damn CD broke. A/C needed to be recharged.

The Bottom Line:  If you can afford a 2 year old one buy that. It will look new and you will save a lot of money on new. It will still last forever.

Overall Rating: 5/5 stars

Author's Review

I recently bought a 96 Avalon XLE and I love this car. It gets good gas mileage for a car this size with a V-6. The only gripes I have are the A/C which needed to be recharged and the drivers seat which the leather is worn. The car has 100K miles so this is normal wear and tear I guess. The engine is strong and everything else runs fine.

I am going to buy another Avalon when this one dies, probably 10 more years. It really pays to get a used one, they are too expensive new. Hopefully I can afford a new one next time. I do hope they revamp the styling more like the Lexis and less like an old people's car.
