Excellent Car!

The latest version of this car was introduced in 1994 with a hatchback and coupe models. With all new styling this became one of the best looking cars ever made. Smooth lines mixed with unique headlights this car is definitely a head turner. This version of the celica was introduced in America with two trim lines ST and GT.

Unfortunately, a high cost combined with two relatively low horsepower engines this car never really caught on in America. The ST, with a paltry 115 HP has not much more horsepower than your standard economy car. It cant support the car's aggressive speed looks. The GT with the 135HP 5S-FE engine still didn't excite most drivers. In 1999 Toyota even considered dropping the celica for good from the Toyota line.

The downside to buying this car is that there is virtually no aftermarket support. The ST has absolutely no support, while the GT has very little. Although it seems to be picking up as of late.

As with any most Toyotas, this is an extremely reliable car. I haven't heard of any problems with either engine in terms of reliability.

This is a very fun car to own. Despite the lack of horsepower and aftermarket support this is still a fun car to drive. This car is also
rare enough that it turns heads and people wonder what kind of car it is.

I would recommend this car to anyone shopping for a sporty car. Personally I love my Celica.
