I can't seem to part with my 1993 4RUNNER. Over 78,000 miles and not one problem. In fact, I am still on the original Goodyear rubber and have at least 3,000 miles left according to a local Goodyear dealer. I'm tempted from time to time to get another one but why should I?
Before the 4RUNNER I had a S10 Chevy Blazer for eight years and, while I did like it, I did not like all the costly electrical problems or the bumpy ride. Nor did like the black paint which came off every time I washed the vehicle.
The 4RUNNER is no Caddy but the ride has improved over time, probably as the OE tires have worn down a bit. It could also use a little bit more power but I think new editions have this under control. Other than that, I absolutely love my 4RUNNER and if I do part with it, it will be for a new one.
