Total Gym is Total Heaven

by   libragirlsc ,  Aug 2, 2007
Pros: Price, Accessories, Features, Convenience, Versatility, Quality Build, Option to Add Weights
Cons: Takes up 8 feet of floor space, doesn't fold easy - heavy
The Bottom Line: A great piece of workout equipment, I would expect to pay much more, solid and would highly recommend.
Review: MY QUEST TO FIND THE RIGHT PIECE OF EQUIPMENT - I have been paying 360.00 a year for a membership to a ladies gym in my area. With a full time job, children, being a part time student, wife, etc... it became harder to get the motivation to drive to the ...

very relaxing and fulfilling workout

by   cushing1961 ,  Jan 5, 2007
Pros: Sets up easily, price is really good compared to a true Pilates Reformer price!
Cons: I can't put it on lowest height setting on carpet, it won't slide properly.
The Bottom Line: Get the bells and whistles. The leg strap, the extra stationary bars, the Pilates bar, and leg bar. The more you have, the more strenuously you can work out.
Review: Since my birthday is at the end of Dec. and my New Years resolution was to get fit, the Total Gym 1700 Club was my present! I have to admit this is very nice. Setting up the machine was easy. It is ready to go from the box and all you do is open ...

I love the Total Gym 1700 club

by   alana7 ,  Feb 2, 2007
Pros: Cheaper then the informercials
Cons: adjusting the board and changing accesorys take time.
Review: The total gym 1700 is money well spent. You can really build defination in your arms and legs doing the squats. It is also constantly working your abs. I would recommend this machine to anyone if they are looking into toning and firming their body. It ...

Total Gym.. Yes

by   reders ,  May 13, 2008
Pros: Good value for money. Easy to use.
Cons: You need to know what your doing.
Review: I have used this product and it is great value for money. It gives your whole body a great workout as long as you know what you are doing! I found using this and running were the best thing i could have done, its much better than going to the gym and you ...

Join the 1700 Club

by   jo.com ,  May 19, 2006
Pros: Inexpensive, easy way to work your muscle groups.
Cons: Not for the elite athlete; low user body weight.
The Bottom Line: If you are looking for a Total Gym you can get a decent one for under $500.
Review: At the request of readers I am reviewing the Total Gym 1700 Club. When I wrote my review of the 1500 I mentioned that it was most similar to the 1700. However companies change models frequently. The 1700 Club (which is the only 1700 there is) is ...

Avoid the Total Gym 1700

by   bloggerusa ,  Jul 12, 2008
Pros: Good workout if you only want it to lasts 6 months. Guaranteed to fall apart.
Cons: Poor design; poor customer service; no additional resistance to challenge your endurance; overpriced
The Bottom Line: Purchase only if you want it to fall apart in less than 6 months and not receive customer service.
Review: I purchased both the Total Gym 1700 and Weider Total Body Works 5000. Full disclosure: I do not work or have family members and friends who work for either of these companies. I agree with the reviews for the Total Body Works 5000. I won't repeat ...
