A Better TiVo than TiVo!!

The Bottom Line: Toshiba SD-H400 is a bargain compared to Stand-Alone TiVo Series 2. For $50 more you get progressive DVD player, progressive DVD/TiVo output, and life-time free TiVo Basic with 3-day guide.

Great product for a Home Entertainment Center!

The Bottom Line: At $200, it is a must have for all TV viewers. The "pause live TV" feature alone is worth the price. The rest is just icing on the cake. Enjoy!
Review: I purchased this unit to use as a recording device, as well as a DVD player. To me hook-up was straight forward and pretty easy. Toshiba supplied all cables that were necessary.

A good spacesaver and VCR replacement

The Bottom Line: A great, easy-to-use alternative to a VCR that doesn't take up any more space.
Review: A few weeks ago, my VCR decided to retire itself. Although machines don't have personalities, I think it knew it's days were numbered as all of my movies were replaced with DVDs and its only use was to tape the television shows I'd miss.
