No valid disc problem

Pros: none

Cons: crap product...can't believe it's a Toshiba...should have bought an el-cheapo product instead of wasting $200

I too have had the "no valid disc" error, after very little usage. But, I have found a way to get around it. Press the "mode" button many times while it's loading. The disc will start to spin (although it sounds like a garbage disposal, so it's probably going to die soon), and then it works. For now...we'll see.
