Author's Review
My television went out after being struck by lightning (didn't have it plugged into surge protector, bad! But definitely got one after that happened) and so I was in the market for a cheap television quickly. I went to my local store and got this Toshiba, and I'm pretty happy with my purchase. I wasn't looking to get another Standard Definition TV, because I was saving up for a Flat Panel, but accidents happen, and so I had to get what I could afford. This television is good for the money, and I'm sure it would've been phenomenal 5-10 years ago, when people weren't expecting so much from their televisions.
I think the picture quality is great and crystal clear. The sound is also very good, with no problems. I do not have a surround sound or home theater system, so that should be disclosed. I am not too fancy, but I do demand quality from the items that I buy. Toshiba makes quality products, but definitely do not expect the world.
I have had this television for a few months now, so I'm not sure about the longevity, but I have had other Toshiba products in the past, and they have held up pretty well under normal moving and wear and tear. I'd recommend this for a cheap buy, and for those just starting out, a second room, or for college kids.
