Ditto That...

I have been hungrily eyeing the Sony 30" Widescreen HDTV tube model for several months now, and besides the price (nearly $1000.00), I was somewhat taken back by the weight (just under 150lbs) of a 30" HDTV tube set. I spied the 26" Toshiba HDTV in a Best Buy right next to a Sony High Def monitor. Besides a slight difference in size, I could see very little difference between the two TV's respective pictures. I was also very impressed with the Toshiba's clean lines, and its modern, yet somewhat understated, styling. I also felt very comfortable with the size of the 26" picture tube.

When I came home and started searching for reviews of the Toshiba TV on the Internet, I was still looking for someone to help ease my out of my "obsession" with Sony. I felt that the author's review of the 26" Toshiba HDTV really hit the mark, and made me much more confident about purchasing this set. In the final analysis; however, nothing was said in his review that I had not already "sensed" about the Toshiba during a 5 minute viewing in the store. Now more than ever, I am convinced that I have found next TV.
