Great American Western Movies: Tombstone

Date of Review:  Jan 30, 2007
The Bottom Line: Tombstone is rich with many actors and the story and sub-plots are compelling. Val Kilmer, especially, gave us a great performance here.
Review: Tombstone (1993) is one of the greatest American Western movies ever to come out of Hollywood. I place it in the top ten Westerns of all time. It may be my favorite Western film.

Tombstone the movie, starring Kurt Russell, Val Kilmer, Dana...

Tombstone, Val Kilmer Steals the Show of the OK Corral Expanded. Own This DVD!!.

Date of Review:  Dec 6, 2007
The Bottom Line: This was a western that gave the feel of the wild west with memorable characters and performances. It's a favorite movie of mine.
Review: I added Tombstone to my collection of iPod Movies a couple of months ago. I never saw it on the big screen and I suppose that was my loss.

Though I have yet to appreciate the full open shots of the wild west it was the acting and storyline...

The Bottom Line: Tombstone is an above average western, characterized by superior performances by Kurt Russell, Val Kilmer, and supporting cast. Well worth watching.
Review: "I'm your huckleberry." Doc Holliday

Why, Ike, WhatEVAH Do You Meeean?

Date of Review:  Jun 15, 2000
Review: OK...we ALL know that, in dealing with the Western genre, chances are you're going to get mythology, no matter if it is a movie or a book that is being created. The period known as the "old West" was such a different set of perameters for so many to...

The Bottom Line: Tombstone brings the Wild West back to life. I recommend it to those who love westerns... and even those who don't. There is something here for everyone.
Review: Loved the cast, loved the plot, loved the costumes, loved it all. This movie is the definition of brilliant. The ultimate western of westerns. After seeing it for the first time, I felt like like writing a letter to everyone involved with the movie,...

The Wild West is Alive in Tombstone

Date of Review:  Oct 29, 2000
Review: I have long been a fan of Kurt Russell, from his days as an actor for Disney. I figured he couldn't help but make this a good movie. And it was a good movie. Though Val Kilmer nearly stole the show!

There were two movies that came out in...

Loosely Historical, But Tight Entertainment

Date of Review:  Dec 2, 1999
Review: As much as I love this movie, I am here to say that "Tombstone" (1993) is great entertainment but poor history. I saw this movie before I read up on it and saw a documentary on the History Channel about Wyatt Earp. These two sources cured me of the...
