A Great Remake!

Pros: It will make you laugh hysterically from the beginning to the end
Cons: You may laugh too hard while watching this movie ;-)
Review: The 1983 version of the movie To Be Or Not To Be, directed by Alan Johnson, was an excellent remake of the original version which premiered in 1942 starring Carole Lombard and Jack Benny. This movie makes fun of Nazism, which is not easy to do well....

Pros: Great mix of both comedy and drama
Cons: Cheesy and melodramatic at times
Review: It would be difficult for anyone to pull off making a comedy about a subject as touchy as Nazism and World War Two. But in my opinion, Mel Brooks succeeded with To Be Or Not To Be. Mel Brooks combines the perfect mix of both comedy and drama in a movie...

Pros: Some laughs, a couple of great musical numbers
Cons: Stale jokes , simple dramatic plot which is not origianl or impressive
Review: Only Mel Brooks would try to do a Mel Brooks film about the Nazi invasion of Poland. Brooks manages to pull off the film, but he does it by NOT making a Mel Brooks comedy.
