Tivoli Kloss Model One AM/FM Radio

We got this radio as a Christmas gift about two years ago. My parents had one and I was amazed at how great the sound was and how many stations the tuner was able to pull in. In our house the radio is almost always on. We absolutely love this one. It is small so it fits anywhere without being in the way, even in the kitchen where space is a commodity. I have moved it all around the house depending on where I tend to be spending the majority of my time. In the kitchen the microwave and refrigerator tend to disrupt most radios, but not this one. At this time I have it setting right above my computer in the office and never have any interference. One of my favorite stations is around an hour away and is a small town station. I always have trouble tuning it in on other radios, but not this one. On the AM side it is just as good. Even in the evenings when many AM stations reduce their signal down, it is able to find them and play them better than any other radio I have ever owned. It is quite appealing to look at. It does not have that electronic look, but a softer more suitable style that fits in with any decor. The knobs for the volume and on/off are solid and sturdy , made to last. The tuning knob is large enough to grasp well and allows for that light touch that it takes to pin point a station. There are two LED lights on the front. One lets you know it is on and the other shows you that you have the station tuned in perfectly. The brighter it is the closer you are to the exact location on the dial. The silver dial around the tuning knob allows for finer tuning of a station. What is truly amazing is how loud it is. With very little volume you get a big sound. You would never guess the sound would be coming from something so small. It produces a full sound and has no tinniness to it. It has both an internal antenna and an external one that you can connect to position for better reception. This radio gives you a lot of bang for your buck.
