Didn't work so well for me

I had many problems with this shaver.

First, it never did shave closely and (second) I got *major* razor burn, even after using the razor for a year and a half. If I spent more time trying to get a closer shave it was worse. I looked like I got third degree burns on my neck every morning for the first few months I used the R-9500. I've tried everything (wet, dry, 6 different shaving creams, different soaps) and the best -- least razor burn -- I got was to use very light pressure so as to avoid irritating my skin. But that exacerbated the not-too-close shave problem.

Third, the razor just broke after a year and a half. It won't turn on half the time and turns on on its own later on. The readout on the razor got moisture trapped inside and was eventually ruined. All I get now is a black blob on the screen.

It comes with a 2-year warranty but they don't honor that without a store receipt :(. Because I got the razor for X-mas '06 my Mother-in-Law doesn't have the receipt anymore. Who keeps non-tax-record receipts that long?!?!
